Throughout history, disease has shaped the development of societies, cultural practices, and trade. Although the modern era has heralded the advancement of medical knowledge and resources, a variety of pressing issues – such as the rise of antibiotic-resistant ‘superbugs,’ the increasing globalization of previously localized pathogens, and the struggle to access healthcare in conflict areas – confront the medical and moral authorities of our day.

Jazmyn is a first-year Political Science major at UNLV. She loves MUN because of what you can learn about the world from each committee. She also loves working on communication and public speaking, which is always fun!
Ryan Frichtel
Co-Chair
Ryan joined Model UN in his freshman year of college and this is his first time acting as co-chair in a conference. Ryan has four years of debate and public speaking experience, and as an Architecture student, he knows the importance of standing behind your ideas. He is extremely excited to co-chair this committee and looks forward to witnessing a productive meeting!
