In this committee delegates will have the opportunity to explore the issue of global tourism and how it is impacted by numerous variables. Tourism is both an economic driver and a possible burden that affects a nation. Depending on capital investment and collaborative efforts, tourism results can be improved. Though tourism is usually determined to be of positive influence, there are numerous issues that arise with a growing global tourist space. Human trafficking is a concerning issue, and it shows no signs of dissipation. With transnational movement and differing security policy systems from country to country, tourism unfortunately creates an ideal environment for human trafficking. How will the United Nations tackle this issue and ensure the protection of those who are often taken, hidden, and most vulnerable? Also, global climate change is directly affecting and is affected by the state of world tourism. Those who travel often seek natural beauty and wondrous environments that may no longer exist in a short time because of climate change. Tourism demands travel through flight and so exhaust of carbon and physical resources and waste are growing concerns. How will the United Nations respond to changing climate conditions, and will tourism be depleted first through climate effects or self-inflicted destruction? All-in-all, tourism is an issue of global concern and importance. Together, member nations of the United Nations have a collective responsibility to defend the defenseless and protect the planet, and so how what forms of propositions and recommendations will you as a delegate make to
